Product Description
Remington Core-Lokt Soft Point .308 Win ammo pairs a 180 gr bullet with a muzzle velocity of 2620 fps. It comes in a box of 20 rounds, under Remington part number 27844.
The bullet type is the Core-Lokt Soft Point. A soft point is a different animal from a full metal jacket round. The tip of the bullet is exposed lead, and that is the style many hunters look for when they load a rifle for the field. The 180 gr weight sits on the heavier end of what is offered in .308 Win.
Who it suits
This load fits anyone shooting a rifle chambered in .308 Win. That includes bolt-action hunting rifles and semi-auto rifles in the same chambering. It also works for range sessions when you want to see how your rifle groups with a soft point load before heading afield. Check your rifle’s manual to confirm it is chambered for .308 Win before you buy.
Good gear to pair with it includes a scope matched to your rifle, a sling, a padded rifle case, and a cleaning kit sized for .308 caliber. Add ear and eye protection for the range. A sturdy ammo box or belt pouch keeps the 20-round boxes organized in the field.
