The SOG Knives & Tools Kilowatt is a folding knife with a 3.4″ AUS-8 blade and wire stripping tools built into the frame. It is made for people who cut and strip wire as part of the job and want one tool on the belt instead of two.
The blade is a clip point with a plain edge and a satin finish. It is 0.12″ thick. The steel is AUS-8, with a stated hardness of 57-58. A thumb stud opens it, and a liner lock holds it open while you work.
Built-in wire tools
This is where the Kilowatt differs from a standard folder. It has a wire stripper for 10-22ga wire and an adjustable UTP wire stripper for network cable. The main blade also has a hole stripper. That covers common low-voltage and data cable tasks without reaching for a separate stripping tool.
