Thompson/center Encore 12 Gauge Break-Action Shotgun, 24″ Barrel

Product Description

The Thompson/center Encore is a 12 gauge break-action shotgun with a 24″ barrel. It holds one round, so every shot counts. You open the action, load a shell, close it and cock the external hammer.

This version is set up for turkey. It has a turkey choke, which is made to tighten the pattern for head and neck shots. The fiber optic sight gives you a bright aiming point in low light. The overall length is 38″, which keeps it handy in a blind or when walking in.

Camo stock and a drilled and tapped frame

The FlexTech stock is finished in Mossy Oak Bottomland, a pattern that suits hardwood bottoms and timber edges. The gun is also drilled and tapped. If you prefer an optic to the fiber optic sight, you have a way to add one.

This gun suits a hunter who likes a simple single shot and plans to take careful, close shots. It also works for someone stepping up from a pump or semi-auto who wants fewer moving parts to think about.

For gear, think about 12 gauge turkey shotshells, box or slate calls, a sling for long walks in, and camo clothing and a face mask to match the stock. If you add a scope, pick mounts that fit this frame. Check your local hunting rules for shot size and choke limits before the season.
