Thompson/center Encore Pro Hunter Barrels, 8111R

Product Description

The Thompson/Center Encore Pro Hunter barrel, part number 8111R, is a barrel chambered in .300 Blackout. It is made for the Encore Pro Hunter line from Thompson/Center.

The caliber is the main thing to know. This barrel runs .300 Blackout, so you will want .300 Blackout ammunition and nothing else. Check the caliber stamp on any box before you load it. The Thompson/Center catalog code for this barrel is ENC-PH BBL 300BLK, which matches the caliber and the Pro Hunter name.

Who it suits

This barrel suits an owner who already has an Encore Pro Hunter and wants to add .300 Blackout to the setup. It also fits a shooter who likes to build around one frame and change barrels as the plans change. If you are not sure your frame is the right one, compare the model name and the part number 8111R before you order.

Gear that pairs with it is simple. A scope and mounts sized to your barrel and frame are the first purchase for most hunting builds. After that, think about a sling, a padded case, a cleaning kit in the right caliber, and a few boxes of .300 Blackout ammunition to sight in and practice.
