The Volquartsen Firearms Summit .17 M 2 is a straight-pull bolt-action rifle with a 16.5″ Tension THM carbon fiber barrel. The black finish and the Magpul X-22 Hunter stock give it a plain, working look. Overall length is 36.5″.
The chamber is match grade. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28, and the rifle is suppressor ready, so a compatible muzzle device or suppressor can go straight on. The safety is a cross bolt. The action is a straight-pull design, so you work the bolt back and forward without lifting a handle.
Optic and magazine
This rifle has no sights. It has an integral Picatinny optic mount with 0 MOA of built-in slope, and the rail is Picatinny. Plan on adding your own optic and rings or a mount that suits it. The rifle feeds from a detachable rotary magazine, and capacity is 10+1.
The Summit fits small-game hunters, varmint shooters and range users who like a bolt gun that cycles fast. Good partners include a scope sized for the Picatinny rail, a suppressor or muzzle device that matches the 1/2×28 threads, extra magazines, a bipod and a sling. Pick the optic for your usual distance and the ammunition you shoot in .17 M 2.
