The Volquartsen Firearms Summit .17 M 2 is a straight-pull bolt-action rifle with a 16.5″ Tension THM carbon fiber barrel. This model, VCB-M2-FDE, wears an FDE Magpul X-22 Hunter stock and has a cross bolt safety.
The Summit has a match grade chamber, and the muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 so you can mount a brake or a suppressor. It feeds from a detachable rotary magazine that holds 10+1 rounds. The straight-pull action lets you cycle the bolt without lifting the handle, which keeps your hand close to the stock between shots.
Set up for optics
This rifle has no sights. An integral Picatinny rail with 0 MOA is built into the receiver, so you pick the scope or red dot and the mount that fits your use. Overall length is 36.5″, which makes it easy to handle in a blind, on a bench, or in a truck.
It suits shooters who want a .17 M 2 for small-game and varmint hunting, or for precision plinking at the range. It also fits anyone planning a suppressed setup, since the threaded muzzle is ready for one. Good companions include a quality scope with rings or a mount, a sling, a bipod, spare 10-round magazines, and a suppressor with a matching thread mount. Suppressors are bought separately and follow their own transfer rules.
