The Volquartsen Firearms VT2 Td is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .17 HMR with a 16.5″ carbon fiber barrel. It is a black rifle built around a Black MOE Milspec stock with Magpul MOE-K grips, and its overall length is 33.76″.
The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 and the rifle is listed as suppressor ready, so you can add a muzzle device or can without extra machining. A 12in handguard surrounds the barrel and carries a Picatinny rail for accessories. The trigger is the TG2000 with a 2.5 lb pull, which is light and clean for precise shots at small targets. A cross bolt safety sits at the trigger guard.
Who it suits
This rifle fits varmint hunters, small-game hunters and rimfire target shooters who like the flat, fast .17 HMR round. The detachable rotary magazine holds 9+1 rounds, so you can reload quickly between strings or stands. The Magpul stock gives it a modern feel that suits shooters coming from AR-style rifles.
It has no sights, so plan on an optic. A scope or red dot and a set of rings or a mount are the first purchases. Extra rotary magazines, a sling, a bipod for the rail, and a suppressor for the threaded muzzle round out the setup. Add a quality .17 HMR ammunition for load testing.
