Weatherby Vanguard S2 Sporter .25-06 Rem Bolt-Action Rifle, 24″ Barrel

Product Description

The Weatherby Vanguard S2 Sporter is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .25-06 Rem with a 24″ barrel. The barrel is a #2 contour, cold hammer-forged, with a 1:10″ twist. It carries the Weatherby SUB-MOA Guarantee.

The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28, and the rifle is listed as suppressor ready. The bolt body is fluted. The trigger is an adjustable two-stage, and the safety has three positions. Capacity is 5+1 rounds, fed from a hinged floorplate magazine.

Stock and fit

The stock is checkered walnut with a Monte Carlo profile, finished over a matte blue metal surface. Length of pull is 13.5″, and overall length is 44.5″. The rifle has no sights, so you will need to add an optic. It is drilled and tapped for that purpose.

This rifle suits hunters who like a classic walnut stock and plan to build the setup themselves. A good scope, matching rings and bases, and a sling are the usual first additions. If you plan to run a suppressor, the 1/2×28 threads accept a compatible muzzle device or can. Pick .25-06 Rem ammunition that your rifle groups well, and zero it at the range before the season starts.
