Winchester Repeating Arms 70 Extreme Weather 6.5 PRC Bolt-Action Rifle

Product Description

Winchester Repeating Arms 70 Extreme Weather is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC with a 24″ fluted barrel. The barrel has a 1:8″ twist, a muzzle brake and a threaded muzzle. The finish is matte stainless steel, and overall length is 44.25″.

What sets it apart

The stock is a Bell and Carlson synthetic with an aluminum bedding block. The bolt is jeweled. The trigger is the MOA System trigger, and the safety has 3 positions. The magazine holds 3+1 rounds and uses a hinged floorplate, so you can unload it from the bottom without cycling rounds through the action.

This rifle has no sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped, so you mount an optic of your choice. It suits hunters and long-range shooters who already like 6.5 PRC, or who want to step into it with a rifle built for field use.

For gear, start with a scope and a base and rings that match the drilled and tapped receiver. A sling and a bipod are natural additions for field and range work. Since the barrel is threaded, check the thread pitch with the manufacturer before you buy a thread protector or other muzzle device. Stock up on 6.5 PRC ammunition for load testing and zeroing.
