Winchester Repeating Arms 70 Extreme Weather Bolt-Action Rifle, 535242289

Product Description

The Winchester Repeating Arms 70 Extreme Weather is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, built around a 22″ fluted barrel with a 1:8″ twist. It has a matte stainless steel finish and a Bell and Carlson synthetic stock. Overall length is 42.25″.

Several details set this model apart. The bolt is jeweled, and an aluminum bedding block sits in the stock. The trigger is Winchester’s MOA system, and the action has a 3 position safety. The barrel is threaded and carries a muzzle brake. Ammunition feeds from a hinged floorplate magazine that holds 4+1 rounds.

Who it suits

This rifle fits hunters who spend time in wet or rough country and want a stainless finish with a synthetic stock. It also suits shooters who like the 6.5 Creedmoor for target work at distance. The rifle has no sights, so you will need to add an optic.

The receiver is drilled and tapped, so scope bases are the first purchase. Add a set of rings and a scope that matches your range. A sling and a bipod are common additions for field use or prone shooting. If you plan to change the muzzle device, check the thread details with the manufacturer first.
