Savage Arms 555 Trap Compact 20 Gauge Break-Action Shotgun, 26″ Barrel

Product Description

The Savage Arms 555 Trap Compact is a 20 gauge break-action shotgun with a 26″ barrel. It is a single-shot gun, so it holds 1 round. The chamber is 3″, and the chokes are listed as C, F and M.

Fit and handling

This is a right-handed gun with a fixed stock and an adjustable comb. You can set the comb to suit how your cheek meets the stock. Length of pull is 13.75″, overall length is 42.50″, and the gun weighs 6.6 lbs. Sights are a simple bead. The finish is black and blued.

A break action is easy to load and easy to check. You open it, drop in a shell, and close it. That keeps the routine simple at the trap field or on a practice day.

The 555 Trap Compact suits a shooter who wants a single-shot 20 gauge for clay targets. The 13.75″ length of pull and the adjustable comb give you room to tune the fit. It also works for anyone who prefers a single-shot gun over a repeater.

For gear, plan on hearing protection, shooting glasses, and a shell pouch or bag. Add 20 gauge trap loads and a padded case for transport. A shooting vest with a pocket for spent hulls is handy on a trap line.
