Western Sport has been an SOT/Class III dealer since 2007, so NFA firearms are handled in our own shop in Roanoke, TX — not shipped off to somebody else’s. We stock 85+ NFA items including short-barrelled rifles, short-barrelled shotguns, AOWs and pistol-calibre SBRs from makers such as Maxim Defense.

What we carry

What the process looks like

Every NFA transfer runs on an ATF Form 4 with fingerprints, a photograph, a background check and registration — that has not changed. What did change is the cost: as of 1 January 2026 the transfer and making tax on suppressors, SBRs, SBSs and AOWs is $0, down from $200. Machine guns and destructive devices still carry the $200 stamp.
