Browning BAR MK IV Hunter is a semi-auto rifle chambered in .270 Winchester with a 22″ barrel. It runs on gas piston operation and feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 4-round capacity. The bolt is a high strength seven-lug design, and an integral buffering system reduces stress and wear on the rifle.
Built for field use
The stock is composite, and Browning designed it to handle every hunting condition. Rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces gives you a more secure hold in all conditions. The matte blued finish is non-reflective, so the black metal does not throw glare while you wait on game.
Fit matters on a hunting rifle, and this one gives you options. Shim adjustments let you change cast on, cast off, and drop at comb. The SoftFlex cheekpad is raised so your eye lines up with an optic.
This rifle suits hunters who want quick follow-up shots from a .270 Winchester without giving up a traditional look. It also fits anyone who wants a rifle that takes weather and rough handling in stride.
Plan on a scope, since the raised cheekpad is made with optics in mind. A sling, a padded rifle case, and a cleaning kit for .270 caliber round out the setup. Add .270 Winchester ammunition and extra range time to learn how the rifle handles with your chosen load.
