The Browning Citori White Lightning is a 12 gauge break-action shotgun with a 28″ barrel and a 3″ chamber. It holds 2 rounds and measures 46″ overall. The finish is engraved silver nitride, which sets it apart from a plain blued field gun.
The barrel is back-bored and carries a vent top rib with an ivory bead sight. Browning lists a 50/50 point of impact pattern, so the gun is built to shoot to the point of aim and put the pattern evenly around it. A Vector Pro forcing cone is part of the barrel design. Three Midas chokes are offered: Improved Cylinder, Modified and Full. That range lets you change the pattern for close clays, mid-range birds or longer shots.
Trigger and stock
The trigger is a single selective gold trigger. One trigger covers both shots, and the selector lets you choose which one fires first. The stock is satin oil Grade III/IV walnut, so the wood has figure and a hand-rubbed look rather than a painted or coated one.
This gun fits shooters who want a classic two-shot field or clay gun with some dressing up. It pairs well with a hard case, a shell bag or shooting vest, hearing protection and eye protection. Add a choke wrench and a cleaning kit sized for 12 gauge, and you have what you need for a day at the clays or in the field.
