The Browning Maxus II Golden Clays Sporting Adjustable is a 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun with a 30″ barrel, built for sporting clays. It runs on a gas piston system and feeds from a tubular magazine with 2+1 capacity. The chamber takes 3″ shells.
The details set it apart from a basic field gun. The trigger is gold plated. The chamber and bore are chrome plated, and the barrel carries a Vector Pro forcing cone. The bolt release is oversized, which makes it easier to find and press. Sights are fiber optic, and the barrel is matte black against a satin finish.
Stock and chokes
The stock is Grade I gloss Turkish walnut. Overall length is 51.375″. The choke lineup runs Inv+ SK, IC, Mod, IM and F, so you can open up for close targets or tighten for longer crossers.
This gun suits clay shooters who work sporting clays, trap or skeet and want a semi-auto. It pairs well with a shell bag or shooting vest, quality hearing and eye protection, a choke tube wrench, and a cleaning kit sized for 12 gauge. A hard case or a padded slip is a good idea for travel to the club.
