The Browning X-Bolt 2 Hell’s Canyon Long Range is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC with a 26″ barrel. The name tells you where it sits in the X-Bolt 2 family: this one is set up for shooting at distance.
Two specs matter most here. The 26″ barrel gives you the length that a long-range cartridge like the 7mm PRC works well with. The magazine holds 3 rounds, which is plenty for a deliberate shot at a time, whether you are in a hunting stand or behind a rest at the range.
Who it suits
This rifle fits hunters who expect longer shots in open country, and target shooters who want to stretch out past the usual hundred-yard line. A bolt action keeps things simple. You work the bolt, chamber a round, and focus on the shot.
Plan on a few pieces of gear to finish the setup. A quality scope with a good set of rings is the first one. A bipod or shooting bag steadies the rifle on a long hold. A laser rangefinder helps you read the distance before you shoot. A padded case and a sling make it easier to carry. Stock up on 7mm PRC ammunition and spend time at the range learning how the rifle shoots with your chosen load.
