The Browning X-Bolt 2 Medallion is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, built around a 26″ sporter contour barrel. The barrel has a 1:9.5 twist and a threaded muzzle with a muzzle brake to cut felt recoil. The sporter profile keeps the rifle light and easy to carry in the field.
A classic look with a reworked action
The stock is Grade III walnut with a gloss finish and checkering. Rosewood caps sit on the fore-end tip and the grip. The receiver is engraved, and the metalwork has a gloss blued finish to match the wood. The bolt is spiral fluted, which trims weight, and it has an ergonomic bolt knob.
Browning added more bolt guidance surface to the action so the bolt cycles smoothly. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated to help with consistent accuracy. The DLX trigger is a three-lever design with no creep, no take-up and no overtravel. It comes set at 3.5 pounds and adjusts down to 3.0 pounds. Ammunition feeds from a rotary magazine that holds 3 rounds.
This rifle suits the hunter who prefers traditional wood and bluing over a synthetic stock, and who wants a magnum cartridge for longer shots. It is right-handed. Most owners will add a hunting scope with rings and bases, a sling, and a hard case or padded soft case for travel. Pick ammunition that is made for the 7mm Remington Magnum and suits the game you hunt.
