The Browning XB2 Speed is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7mm PRC, with a 24″ barrel. It holds 3 rounds. That is a straightforward setup for a rifle meant to be carried, shot and used in the field.
The 7mm PRC cartridge is the main reason to look at this rifle. If you already shoot or reload for 7mm PRC, this gives you a bolt-action platform for it. The 24″ barrel gives a solid amount of length for a hunting rifle in this chambering. The bolt action keeps the operation simple and familiar.
Who it suits
This rifle fits hunters who plan to take shots at distance and want a dedicated 7mm PRC. It also suits shooters who like working a bolt and prefer a smaller magazine load to a larger one. Three rounds is plenty for most hunting situations and for careful range sessions.
Plan your gear before the rifle arrives. You will want a quality riflescope with rings and bases that match the rifle, so confirm fit with the manufacturer before you order. A sling and a bipod or shooting rest help with steady shots. Stock up on 7mm PRC ammunition, and run a few boxes through it at the range before you head into the field. Part number 036066298 is the number to give your FFL if you need to confirm the model.
