About Christensen Arms

Since 1995, Christensen Arms (Gunnison, Utah) has pioneered production carbon fiber-wrapped barrel technology for precision rifles, earning a reputation for innovation and American manufacturing excellence. Their signature carbon fiber construction—a stainless steel barrel core wrapped in aerospace-grade carbon fiber—reduces weight dramatically while maintaining superior rigidity and shot-to-shot consistency. The result: precision rifles weighing 5–7 lbs that rival or exceed the accuracy of heavier competitors, using aerospace materials throughout including titanium hardware and match-grade stainless components.

Key Specifications

The Ranger Platform

The Ranger is Christensen’s dedicated rimfire bolt-action line, engineered for shooters who refuse to compromise on quality or weight. At 4.9 lbs, this .22 WMR configuration is one of the lightest magnum rimfire rifles available, making it ideal for extended hunting days, mountain fieldwork, or compact storage. The .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire cartridge delivers superior velocity and energy over standard .22 LR, making it effective for small game, varmint control, and target work at distances where rimfire precision matters. The 18″ carbon fiber barrel provides the perfect balance: short enough for maneuverability in brush or timber, long enough to wring maximum velocity from .22 WMR ammunition while maintaining sub-MOA accuracy potential.

Tan composite stock and matching barrel finish blend function with modern aesthetics, while the bolt-action design ensures reliability, ease of maintenance, and ammunition flexibility—shoot whatever quality .22 WMR ammunition suits your purpose. At this weight and price point, the Ranger .22 WMR serves as an excellent backup rifle, a training tool for centerfire shooters, a suppressor host platform, or a primary small-game rifle for hunters seeking minimal fatigue. The 10-round magazine provides practical capacity for most field scenarios without unnecessary bulk.
