The DD M4V7 PRO 556NATO 18″ is a precision rifle engineered for shooters who demand accuracy at distance. This Daniel Defense rifle pairs an 18-inch S2W profile cold hammer forged barrel with a mid-length gas system. The result is added velocity, smooth handling, and reliable performance with full-power 5.56x45mm NATO loads.
Every Daniel Defense firearm is hand assembled, quality assurance tested, and test fired before shipment. The MFR 17.0 M-LOK free-float handguard keeps accessory weight off the barrel. This maintains a consistent zero through extended shooting sessions. At 7.0 pounds, the V7 PRO remains light for an 18-inch precision platform.
This rifle is built for serious shooters, competition use, and long-range precision work. Whether you’re a seasoned marksman or upgrading your tactical arsenal, the V7 PRO delivers. The mid-length gas system reduces recoil impulse considerably. You’ll appreciate the balance of accuracy, control, and modularity that Daniel Defense rifles are known for.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What ammunition performs best in the DD M4V7 PRO?
A: This rifle is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO and accepts .223 Remington ammunition. Full-power NATO loads deliver optimal velocity through the 18-inch barrel. Quality brass or steel-cased ammunition from reputable manufacturers works reliably.
Q: What optics and accessories mount to the M-LOK handguard?
A: The MFR 17.0 M-LOK rail accepts any standard M-LOK accessory or optic mount. Popular choices include quality red dots, magnified optics, and tactical lights. The free-float design keeps mounting points clear of barrel contact.
Q: How does the 18-inch barrel compare to the DD M4V7 16 model?
A: The 18-inch S2W barrel delivers measurably higher velocity and extended-range precision versus the 16-inch variant. You’ll gain 100-150 feet per second with most ammunition. The trade-off is slightly longer overall length and handling profile.
Q: What’s included in the box, and what’s your warranty policy?
A: Your V7 PRO ships clean, function-tested, and ready for optics and sighting. Daniel Defense includes a limited lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects. Western Sport provides full documentation and lifetime customer support.
Q: What is the M-LOK handguard on this rifle?
A: Daniel Defense’s free-float M-LOK handguard lets you attach lights, lasers, and grips directly to the rail using the M-LOK slot system — no separate rail sections required. Additionally, the handguard floats independently of the barrel, so attachments don’t shift your zero. A continuous top rail provides a stable mounting surface for optics.
