The DPMS Short Classic Kit is a semi-auto .300 Blk pistol with a 10.5″ barrel. It uses a direct impingement system with a carbine gas system and an internal hammer firing system. The barrel is chrome moly vanadium steel with a 1:7″ twist.
This build pairs the short barrel with a DPMS CAR-15 adjustable brace and a 9.5in lightweight M-LOK rail. The grip is a standard A2 pistol grip, and the trigger is mil-spec. The frame is 7075 T6 aluminum with a black finish, and a manual safety is fitted.
The muzzle carries an A2 flash hider on a 1/2×28 threaded barrel. That means you can keep the flash hider or swap in another muzzle device that uses the same thread. One polymer AR-style magazine is included, and it holds 30+1 rounds.
Who it suits
This pistol fits someone who wants a short, handy .300 Blk AR without building it from parts. It has no sights, so you will need to add an optic. A red dot or a low-power scope on the top rail is the usual choice. The M-LOK rail takes lights, grips and other accessories made for that slot.
