Product Description

The Smith & Wesson 940 is a 9mm Luger revolver with a 2.17″ fluted barrel and five chambers. It is built on a small J frame, and the frame is stainless. Overall length is 6.625″, and the gun weighs 23.52 oz.

The 940 is double action only, with an internal hammer. There is no external hammer spur to snag, and every shot is a full pull of the trigger. The trigger is a target style. The rifling twist is 1:10″.

Sights and grips

The front sight is a tritium night sight, which helps you pick up the front post in dim light. The rear is a fixed U-notch, so there is nothing to adjust or knock out of alignment. The grips are VZ Diamond in black cherry.
