Update, October 9, 2026: ATF no longer requires a Form 4, tax stamp, fingerprints or registration for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns or AOWs. They now transfer on a standard Form 4473 with a background check. Anything below that mentions a Form 4, a wait or a tax stamp was written before this change. What changed
The KRISS Vector SBR Gen III is a short-barreled semi-automatic rifle chambered in 9mm. This model, part number KV90-3SWD00, has a 5.5″ barrel threaded 1/2×28, a Woodland Delta Cerakote finish, an adjustable folding stock and a 40-round magazine.
It is for shooters who want a compact 9mm carbine for home defense, the range or a suppressor host. The folding stock keeps it short for storage and travel.
Stock, sights and controls
The adjustable folding stock lets you set length of pull and fold it for storage. Low-profile flip-up sights come standard. It has an ambidextrous safety and an interchangeable pistol grip. The 1/2×28 muzzle thread accepts 9mm suppressors and muzzle devices made for that thread.
Pair it with a 9mm suppressor that threads 1/2×28, plenty of 9mm range ammunition and a box of defensive hollow points. A red dot makes it quick to shoot.
Since October 9, 2026, short-barreled rifles transfer on a regular ATF Form 4473 with a NICS background check at your FFL, with no Form 4 and no tax stamp. Check your state and local laws before you order.
